Luna Ring: Japan’s Plan to Build Solar Panels on Moon for Limitless Clean Energy
A futuristic proposal by Japanese construction giant Shimizu Corporation is drawing global attention for its ambitious vision to generate limitless clean energy from space by building a massive solar power system on the Moon. A giant leap for clean energy.
The concept, known as the “Luna Ring,” involves constructing a massive belt of solar panels encircling the Moon’s equator. Stretching roughly 11,000 kilometres in length and potentially up to 400 kilometres in width, the structure would form a continuous ring designed to capture sunlight without interruption.
