Israel Strikes Beirut and Lebanon Without Warning After US-Iran Ceasefire Announcement
Israel launched a series of powerful airstrikes on Beirut and other parts of Lebanon without prior warning, even as a newly announced ceasefire between the United States and Iran raised hopes of easing tensions in the region. The timing of the attacks caught many by surprise.
